SAP objects on a map
Provide job locations, equipment, messages and orders with geometry and display SAP objects directly on the map in SAP PM. Utilize the intuitive user interface of GEF customization to configure display and modification options easily. For example, record which data you want to display or which actions you want to perform. Additionally, use selection options and, for example, show all open notifications within a certain area.
Even if you don’t have a GIS system, you can add geometry to your SAP objects. You can easily combine map layers and specific objects (layers) from your GIS with SAP data via a link.
GEF update packages will allow you to add geometry to even more objects in the future. A prerequisite for implementation is the use of an SAP HANA database. Two scenarios are possible: SAP S/4HANA with GEF or SAP ECC with GEF and a HANA database as a ‘sidecar’
